A concept to address ride finding and information issues with Augmented Reality for Flixbus riders

FlixARia was a concept proposal to address the customer pain point of finding their ride in bus stations where a large number of Flix Branded buses are going to different destinations. Using Augmented reality (AR) as in-app feature or additional downloadable app was proposed to implement this solution. The proposed concept also integrates promotional, informational, and entertainment elements for the flix riders.
The proposal stirred a lot of excitement among the POs, Business, and Branding team as it addressed a long-standing issue of finding rides for Flixbus users. Also, this proposal was a unique way to present Flixbus as an early adopter of emerging technologies like Augmented Reality in a real-world problem-solving context. A business team was assigned to investigate further the business potential of the proposal. A tech team was formed to analyze the implementation feasibility, scope of integration with the current application or develop a standalone AR app for Flix users.
